MANAGEMENT OF A
CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

  • Combine people management, technical and financial skills.
  • Contraction of two words: Engineering & Startup.
  • Pragmatic solutions for your worksites

Welcome to the ING&DEM website

Our approach: combining consulting - technology and pragmatism to offer our customers proven and/or innovative solutions.

Today, Industry 4.0 is no longer a myth. It enables us to achieve greater efficiency and flexibility in the various phases of construction. However, each of our customers is faced with the arrival of new players on their markets, demands to speed up their activities or even new regulatory requirements. All these factors have an impact on productivity.

Our company rises to the challenge ! To boost your performance, we combine the experience of our staff with the use of new technologies. This cocktail enables us to find new sources of productivity while respecting your business standards.

Increasingly dynamic construction projects

Market requirements and the choice of profitability help define the feasibility of a construction project and its timeframe. Once the decision has been taken, the time between the initial assumptions and the start of operations is usually very short.

Against this backdrop, the use of digital engineering tools is now an integral part of both design and construction. BIM (Building Information Modeling) was first used in the construction industry. Today, it has been integrated into other industrial sectors (chemicals, automotive, etc.). Based on a 3D model, a collaborative approach between all the different trades enables us to define footprints, optimize piping and cable routing, and so on.

This makes it easier to manage the interfaces between all the different trades, and optimizes the cost of redesign.

Our services

Our services are focused on construction projects. It is based on the professions of human, technical and financial management.
All our employees are committed to enhancing the performance of your projects through their expertise, involvement and perspective.

They will make suggestions and help you make the right decisions.

We provide you with support functions throughout the value chain of your projects, from EXE studies through to performance achievement. We support you in a variety of ways: training, monitoring, supervision and inspection.

Our pragmatic approach places us in a natural position for site supervision, for the organization of work, the coordination of supplies and/or the various trades, the monitoring and partial acceptance of equipment or packages, right through to the final acceptance of your investment. During final acceptance, we focus on compliance with contractual requirements, enabling us to draw up punch-lists and manage the removal of reservations.

Before transferring your work, we can take charge of supervising mechanical, cold, hot and acceptance tests.

Already at your side to supervise and coordinate your investment, it's only natural that we should also accompany you on monitoring missions to your suppliers, to reassure you of the progress of their work, and to guarantee delivery deadlines.

In the form of a preliminary audit, we can also guide you through the implementation of new normative and/or regulatory requirements, to estimate the quantity of work required, with the aim of building up files for revamping or upgrading. As part of this process, our teams will carry out an assessment of the current situation and highlight any discrepancies with the new requirements. This work will enable us to draw up a budget estimate for the works, and formalize the tender documents.

Our field of inspection also extends to engineering structures, which represent an essential part of France's heritage. In partnership with diving companies, we are able to support you, for the underwater part, in the construction of your surveillance plan and/or in the monitoring of your structures (bridges, viaducts, water reservoirs, locks, quays) in accordance with the Ministry of Transport's circular.

Training

In line with our areas of expertise and to support our customers in upgrading the skills of their teams, we work with your HR and Quality departments to develop pedagogical engineering. This mainly takes the form of :

  • Study your project to define its technical, economic and financial aspects
  • Synthesize the contributions of our experts
  • Match the right methods and/or tools to your employees' learning objectives

Quite often, our customers ask us for advice on how to improve the skills of their staff. For some of them, this translates into the construction of training engineering, i.e. :

  • Designing a training program
  • Define the methods and means to be used
  • Assessing skills acquisition

The most frequently asked questions

Our customers frequently ask us technical questions, either about our working methods or about our company. Please find below some examples ofthe latter.

1. Why is the construction industry increasingly using digital mock-ups?

The emergence of digital mock-ups began in the 2000s for certain projects in various industrial sectors, such as the automotive industry. It was at this time that gateways were created to transfer
to transfer mechanical part dimensions directly to machining centers. Today, the digital mock-up is an essential tool for visualizing the installation, coordinating all trades, estimating risks and respecting design budgets, as a large number of documents (TIE-IN, ISO, 2D drawings, etc.) can be easily extracted from it.

2. How do new technologies impact construction sites?

Digital tools such as 3D scanners and photogrammetry can be used to digitize existing installations. Thanks to these point clouds, design offices are able to obtain convincing elements, thus greatly reducing the need for site visits to re-do a coastline. This type of approach is particularly interesting for projects involving the integration of a new production line.

3. What's special about your company?

Our company was founded on the following principles:

  • Thinking about "commissioning" a plant always comes late,
  • PRECOM / COM / START-UP methods are all linked to their business sector,
  • Major accounts often have experts in specific fields.

Our experience confirms our orientation. We see every day with our customers that interfaces between different experts are always complicated. Employing atypical profiles with a wealth of experience gives us legitimacy on these key points.

4. Why has your company focused solely on construction, start-up and inspection activities?

Our experts maintain their skills and are constantly on the lookout for sensitive subjects related to their profession. Their analyses help to ensure that the inspections entrusted to us by our customers are carried out correctly, while guaranteeing the correct interpretation of standards and regulations.
Our decision to work during the construction and start-up phases of industrial equipment means that we remain close to real-life and operational issues.
